The catalog.

I’m pretty excited about this and wanted to share.  Here’s the final Rosie Posie catalog – I took all of these photographs, and Torin made her modeling debut (in print!).

First Day… sort of.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Torin was up until 10:30 p.m. last night (waaaaay past her bedtime) and she was awake bright and early today at 6:30 a.m.  Probably not the best way to start the first day of school (with huge bags under her tired little eyes), but at least today was just the Meet & Greet with Miss Pullen.  Torin loved finding her desk, checking out her locker, and meeting her teacher.

Here is Torin meeting her kindergarten teacher for the first time:

Take your daughter to work day.

I had a photo session last night for the Rosie Posie children’s clothing company – we were shooting images for their spring ’09 catalog.  Torin went along and did a great job of modeling the Strawberry Collection.  It was 100 degrees outside and I swear there were about 75 kids.  (Maybe the number was closer to 20, but it felt like 75.)  The kids got to splash around in the fountains when we were finished.  In true redneck fashion, they all preferred to play in just their underwear.  :)

The following picture is my daughter jumping up and down in the middle of the city – wearing nothin’ but panties and crocs.  That’s what happens when I leave Ms. Melaney in charge of her.  (Just kidding, Mel!)

Eleven more days until school starts.

I’m ready for fall to be here.  I really am.  But part of me is going to miss having these two around all day.  They have been so good to play together this summer while I work.  (And bless their hearts, they’ve let me serve them peanut butter & jelly for lunch every day because it’s fast and easy.  Torin is probably looking forward to cafeteria food.)
