We got another couple of inches of snow last night, which brings us to snow day #8 for the year. I’m actually happy about this one, because I probably would’ve kept both kids home today anyway. They both smell like walking jars of Vicks. One kid was up at 3 a.m. coughing like a loud seal, and the other was up at 5 a.m. in a frantic search for the Afrin. Due to all of the coughing/sneezing/blowing, I announced that they would not be playing outside in the snow today. This decision was not very well received by a certain 6-year-old boy.
So I did the next best thing. I brought the snow inside.
They made snowmen, igloos, and ice castles while pretending to be out in the cold.
The only thing they didn’t try was snow angels on the hardwood floor. (Probably wouldn’t have worked anyway.)
The best part was not having to mess with wet boots and clothes when it was all over!
